The Salvation Army Oak Creek Senior Center
At The Salvation Army Oak Creek Senior Center, our mission is to enhance the quality of life for seniors by offering programs and activities that support the body, mind, and soul. We provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where older adults can stay active, connect with others, and create lasting memories with friends and loved ones.
Combating Senior Isolation & Supporting Independence
Senior isolation is one of the fastest-growing challenges facing our community. According to the Journal of Health Disparities Research and Practice, by 2035, older adults over age 65 will outnumber children under 18 for the first time in U.S. history. With this shift comes increasing needs for healthcare, transportation, housing, education, financial security, and social support.
Our Oak Creek Senior Center is designed to meet these needs by providing accessible, affordable, and engaging programs that encourage independence and overall well-being.
Programs & Services for Seniors
We offer a variety of activities and resources that focus on health, social connection, and personal growth:
- Health & Wellness: Screenings, immunization clinics, and exercise classes
- Creative & Educational Activities: Art classes, financial planning workshops, and bible studies
- Social Opportunities: Outings, special events, and daily gatherings to build friendships
- Nutrition Support: Nutritious meal program and an onsite food pantry for seniors experiencing food insecurity
