The Salvation Army works to ensure that everyone in our community has a roof over there head. This is done in several ways:
Emergency Shelters:
For those looking to escape extreme cold, intense heat, torrential rain, or just wanting a safe, quiet place to spend the night, The Salvation Army provides a nutritious meal, a warm bed, and a clean shower at many of our locations. Contact the local corps to learn about the services offered at a location near you.

Family Service Programs:
The Salvation Army assists families with temporal needs by providing food, housing, and utility assistance. Other needs are often met through our corps and service extension units by providing housing vouchers, assisting with rent payments, finding stable housing, and much more. For long term assistance, many locations across Indiana offer our Pathway of Hope Program to help families break the cycle of poverty.
Ruth Lily Women and Children's Center:
The Salvation Army Shelter for Women and Children provides a safe place for homeless and abused women and children in perhaps their greatest time of need. For help call: 317-637-5551
Senior Housing:
Located in Columbus and on the west side of Indianapolis, our Booth Manor apartments offer low-income housing for senior citizens. These apartments are run by the Columbus and Eagle Creek Corps
