Financial Donations
We only offer select giving options online which enable us to meet the needs of the people we serve in your community or the community you choose to support. By supporting these programs, you give The Salvation Army the resources and flexibility essential to respond where assistance is needed the most. Yes. Please contact The Salvation Army donor services by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY. Please have ready the date of your gift, the dollar amount, the fund it went to, and the fund you would like it to go to. If you need to leave a voicemail message, please be sure to leave your name and phone number, including your area code.
Receipts for mail donations are typically sent within 3 weeks following when The Salvation Army receives your gift. For online donations or donations made via 1-800-SAL-ARMY, a receipt is sent via email within minutes of the successful transaction.
If you did not receive a receipt for a financial gift you've made, please contact Donor Services by completing our online inquiry form or calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

Your email address is required so we can send you a proper acknowledgement of your gift. Details of your donation are found in this email, which you can print or save for tax purposes. The Salvation Army will not sell, trade, or share personal information about our financial donors with anyone else, nor will we send mailings to our financial donors on behalf of other organizations, unless a donor has given us specific permission to do so.
If you set up your monthly gift through the web, you may make changes to your monthly giving donation by logging into your account. All changes that you make are processed immediately. If you do not have an account or are not sure of your account, you may contact The Salvation Army Donor Services by completing our online inquiry form or calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY for handling. Donor Services may process your request the same month, or the following month, depending upon when we receive your call.

Refunds are available within 180 days of your original (online) donation:
- By calling donor services (1-800-SAL-ARMY)
- By completing our online inquiry form
If the requested refund is beyond 180 days of the original donation, please call 1-800-SAL-ARMY, and your request will be evaluated on an individual-case basis.

In Kind Donations
Yes. Please visit SATRUCK.org or call 1-800-SA-TRUCK to learn more about what The Salvation Army accepts. If neither one of these resources is able to provide you with an answer, visit our location search page to locate the Salvation Army branch nearest to you. From this site, you will be able to contact someone at your local office who may be able to assist you. If it is determined that your local Salvation Army unit is able to accept these items, you can schedule a pick-up by calling the above number.
Receipts for drop-off donations are handed out when you drop off your donation at one of our manned donation drop off locations. For donation pickups scheduled online or made via 1-800-SAL-ARMY, a receipt is sent via email after a successful pick-up.
