Spiritual & Worship Services
Central Kentucky Area Services Spiritual & Worship Services Information
The Salvation Army is a Church
Christianity is synonymous with service for The Salvation Army. We are a church organized in a military manner to combat sin, poverty, and injustice. For example, the pastors serve as officers, members are called soldiers, and the church is called a corps.
Soldiers and officers sometimes wear uniforms to remind themselves and others that God has saved them and called them into His mission to redeem the world. It is a visible profession of our faith in Jesus and our commitment to serve.
We believe that opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship are vital to the faith development of seekers and believers at The Salvation Army. We invite you to join us on Sundays at our Lexington and Georgetown locations.
