CHRISTMAS IN JULY

About the event

Christmas in July is a day of bell-ringing at Red Kettles to raise funds for Petoskey Corps programs and services that assist struggling neighbors in Emmet, Charlevoix and Antrim Counties. Some examples are: food pantry, heat, electricy, and rent assistance, child and senior programs, community meals and more.

The Salvation Army of Petoskey is celebrating its 125th year of service to those in need this July. Unlike the Red Kettle Campaign, Christmas in July is only for 1 day to raise money when the donations are lowest and more importantly, to remind people that needs and services are year round, not just during the holidays.

Because giving is at its lowest point in years and need is at its highest due to inflation and other factors, please give at a Red Kettle at one of the following locations:

Petoskey: Walmart, Oleson's Food Store and Louie's Fresh Market

Harbor Springs: Harbor Springs Market

Charlevoix: Oleson's Food Store

East Port (Torch Lake): East Port Market - Thank you for ringing Central Lake Lions Club

Central Lake: Merrie's Market - Thank you for ringing Central Lake Lions Club
