Whether it's to offer a listening ear, positive mentoring or a safe place to socialize with friends, our youth development programs offer a place for young people to grow.

How We Empower Youth
Youth Night
- Youth Night program schedule: Wednesday from 4:30 - 7 p.m., including dinner
- Youth Night program summary: Our program meets every Wednesday evening during the school year where kids in kindergarten through 12th grade enjoy dinner together, fun Bible lessons, and participate in activity clubs. Examples of clubs include: Video Games, Book Club, Geocaching, Baking, Science. These programs offer them the opportunity to develop strong communication and leadership skills, grow their minds, and explore God's Word, all while having fun and connecting with their peers.
Summer Overnight Camps
- Summer Overnight Camps population served: Kids and teens in first through 12th grades are offered the opportunity to enroll in overnight camps each summer at The Salvation Army's Western Plains Camp in South Sioux City.
- Summer Overnight Camps program summary: These camps offer kids the opportunity to experience nature, connect with others and develop leadership skills. Themed weeks like Music Camp, Teen Camp and Outdoor Camp are also available throughout the summer.
Western Plains Camp
- Western Plains Camp program summary: We provide overnight summer camp opportunities to community children — featuring fishing, canoeing, swimming and hiking, a ropes course, arts and crafts, camp res and cozy, rustic cabins — all at the Western Plains Camp in South Sioux City.
Summer Day Camp 2026
- Summer Day Camp 2026 program schedule: June 8 - July 30, Monday through Thursday; 9:00 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Summer Day Camp 2026 program summary: Join us for a fun-filled summer! Our day camp provides many opportunities to children ages 14 and under…including: field trips, swimming, skilled learning, activities, Bible lessons, crafts, and outdoor activities.
Teen Night
- Teen Night program schedule: 4th Friday of the month
- Teen Night program summary: Teen Night is available for those 12 & up. Teens have a short Bible lesson, do activities such as video games, movies, etc., go on outings, and enjoy snacks together.

Meet Our Team
Tiffany Lines (Youth Director):
Tiffany is our Youth Director and Community Center Coordinator at the Salvation Army of Siouxland. She has been involved with the Salvation Army since birth. She has always been involved in Salvation Army programming, but just recently returned to the church along with my husband Cory Lines, who is the Facility Director at Western Plains Salvation Army Camp.
Tiffany and Cory have been married for 3 years and don’t have any children yet, but do have one spoiled puppy named Pike! Pike is a 5-year-old Leopard dog mixed with American Bull dog.
