Food Assistance

Looking for a free meal in Waukesha County, a local food pantry near you, or a way to give back? Every year, we provide thousands of neighbors with hunger relief services including hot meals, groceries, bread, and kids’ nutrition programs. Together with donors and volunteers, we fight hunger and strengthen our community.

Our Impact in Waukesha County

  • 16,000 free, hot meals served annually through our Community Meal Program (3 evenings each week in downtown Waukesha)
  • 50,000 loaves of bread are distributed every year from our Free Bread Room
  • 5,000 weekend food packs for school families in Waukesha County
  • 7,000 sack lunches for kids through our Summer Feeding Program

Waukesha County Hunger Relief Programs

We provide free community dinners in Waukesha three nights a week:

  • Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
  • Serving from 5:00 p.m. – 5:40 p.m.
  • All are welcome -  no registration required

Feed The Kids Summer Lunch Program

Helping children stay nourished when school is out:

  • Monday – Friday at Sentinel Park (Madera Street)
  • Serving from 12:05 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Donations needed: peanut butter & jelly, individually packed snacks, paper lunch bags, and single-serve drinks

This is one of the few free summer lunch programs in Waukesha - helping families stretch their budgets while ensuring kids eat well.

Waukesha Food Pantry – Free Groceries for Families

Our food pantry in Waukesha provides groceries and essential items to families and individuals in need.

Hours:
Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Fridays: 9 a.m. – Noon

Location: 445 Madison Street, Waukesha, WI 53188 (enter through the double red doors at the rear parking lot).

Registration: Bring a government-issued photo ID and a recent piece of mail. For families with children, please bring your child’s birth certificate.

Support the Waukesha Food Pantry

  • Shop online through our Walmart Registry for Good to send groceries directly
  • Drop off donations Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
  • Organize a food drive in Waukesha County with your church, business, scout troop, civic group, or school

Free Bread Room – Fresh Bread in Waukesha

Our Free Bread Room is open Monday – Friday, distributing over 50,000 loaves of bread each year to Waukesha County residents.
