Emergency Shelter
At The Salvation Army in Waukesha, we provide safe emergency shelter for up to 32 men every night of the year. As Waukesha County’s largest men’s homeless shelter, we serve individuals in need with compassion, dignity, and respect.
While staying at our shelter, men receive more than just a bed. Each year we provide:
- Over 1,000 case management sessions to help men set goals and move forward.
- Thousands of personal hygiene kits to support daily health and dignity.
- Nutritious meals served daily for every resident.
Our mission is to help men in Waukesha County find employment, secure stable housing, and rebuild their lives. With life skills classes, job search support, and structured case management, residents can stay for up to six months while working toward independence.
During the cold winter months, we also operate an overflow shelter at a separate location to ensure no man is left out in the cold.
Why Our Shelter Matters
Other shelters in the area focus on women and families. Homeless men remain one of the most underserved populations in Waukesha County. That’s why our Men’s Emergency Shelter operates 24/7, 365 days a year—because stability and safety can’t wait.
