Faith House Housing Programs Information
The Salvation Army of Burnett County offers a range of programs aimed at supporting our most vulnerable adults. As we see a growing demand for services - particularly from homeless seniors, veterans, and individuals with mental or physical disabilities - the need to expand these programs has become critical.
Individuals and families who transition from our Faith House Shelter into our housing programs often experience meaningful success. They build confidence, gain independence, and are significantly more likely to maintain long-term, stable housing.
HOUSING PROGRAMS BEYOND FAITH HOUSE
Rapid Re-Housing
Rapid Re-Housing programs help homeless persons living on the streets or in at Faith House transition as quickly as possible into permanent housing. Once in permanent housing, this program helps provide services and short to medium-term rental assistance to help such persons remain housed. For more information, please contact Sandy Clark at 715-349-8744.
Homeless Prevention Programs
Homeless Prevention programs help individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness stay in their homes. For more information, please contact Sandy Clark at 715-349-8744.
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
TBRA is a rental subsidy program that helps individual households with affordable housing up to 18 months. During this time, clients will complete a low-income housing application and find their own apartment. The goal of this program is to provide assistance for safe, decent, and affordable housing. Persons in the rental assistance program usually pay 30 percent of their income for rent. To learn more about TBRA, please contact Sandy Clark at 715-349-8744.
SOAR - SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery
Faith House Shelter has paid staff who work full-time to help homeless, disabled individuals apply for Social Security Disability Benefits. Many homeless individuals who are disabled do not have the resources they need to get help for their disability. Having the disability, in turn, makes it impossible to work to gather the resources they would need. We can provide this important resource to individuals and have a very strong record of successful applications for our most vulnerable populations. While working on Social Security Applications, residents can move forward in housing and are provided case management throughout the process.
