Non-Financial Gifts

Host a Coat Drive

One in five children in Racine lives in poverty, and many come to school without a warm coat during the winter months. The Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids program provides an average of 1,200 coats each year to local children.

Coats are donated at drop-off sites across the city, including all Johnson Bank locations, and Cintas generously cleans all used coats. Distribution takes place each November through Racine Unified Schools, child-serving agencies, and families, with an additional distribution in January or February as donations continue.

We are grateful for the support of the Racine Community Foundation and Johnson Bank employees, whose contributions help keep children in our community warm.

Host a Food Drive

Food drives are a great way to support our Food Pantry and Kids’ Backpack Program. The Food Pantry serves about 400 clients each month, providing each household with enough food for three days. The Kids’ Backpack Program reaches around 1,200 children monthly, supplying food sacks with single-serve entrées, breakfast items, and snacks.

To start a food drive, contact Jamie Read at (262) 632-3147 ext. 113.

Host a Toy Drive

New toys during the holiday season are always needed. If you are interested in making a donation, please bring it to the Corps.
