La Crosse Corps Community Center Shelter Information

The Salvation Army of La Crosse's Emergency Shelter provides safe, short-term housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Our shelter can accommodate up to 64 people and is open for new intakes daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

How to Access Shelter

Call (608) 782-6126 and ask for shelter staff. If you cannot call, you may come directly to 223 N. 8th Street, La Crosse.

Availability

Shelter is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and space changes throughout the day.

Our Purpose

Our goal is to help each resident move toward long-term housing stability. While staying with us, residents receive support through individualized case plans that may include:

  • Assistance with permanent housing placement
  • Building economic self-sufficiency
  • Reducing reliance on public assistance
  • Improving life skills
  • Addressing physical and mental health needs
