The Salvation Army of Kenosha is committed to serving individuals and families across Kenosha County by offering programs that provide support during times of crisis and help prevent the long-term challenge of homelessness.

Our services are designed to offer immediate relief while also guiding recipients in creating a plan to maintain stable housing.

Emergency Assistance

Assistance is dependent on available funding, and eligibility requirements must be met in order to apply. Assistance is:

• Only available to residents of Kenosha County registered with our office. If outside Kenosha County, please contact your local Salvation Army.
• Distributed on a first-come, first-served basis
• Limited to funds available, available only by appointment. 
• You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.

Eligibility Requirements - you MUST:

• Be a resident of Kenosha County registered with our office.
• Have a valid ID
• Have a current utility bill (& rental agreement if looking for rental assistance)
• Be less than 3 months behind
• Have a plan to continue future payments
• Have a 5-day eviction notice (if looking for rental assistance)available only by appointment.  
• You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
