
Emergency Assistance
The Salvation Army of Kenosha is committed to serving individuals and families across Kenosha County by offering programs that provide support during times of crisis and help prevent the long-term challenge of homelessness.
Our services are designed to offer immediate relief while also guiding recipients in creating a plan to maintain stable housing.
Emergency Assistance
Assistance is dependent on available funding, and eligibility requirements must be met in order to apply. Assistance is:
- Only available to residents of Kenosha County registered with our office. If outside Kenosha County, please contact your local Salvation Army.
- Distributed on a first-come, first-served basis
- Limited to funds available, available only by appointment.
- You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
Eligibility Requirements - you MUST:
- Be a resident of Kenosha County registered with our office.
- Have a valid ID
- Have a current utility bill (& rental agreement if looking for rental assistance)
- Be less than 3 months behind
- Have a plan to continue future payments
- Have a 5-day eviction notice (if looking for rental assistance)available only by appointment.
- You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
