Are you passionate about helping your community? Looking for the best way to invest your time, skills, and talent? Your help truly matters.

At The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac County, we live our mission every day by “Doing the Most Good.” We use every resource to meet human needs without discrimination. For more than a century, we’ve been the county’s strongest advocate for families, individuals, and neighbors facing hardship.

Our Circle of Service

Since 1890, we’ve provided hope and support through a wide range of programs.

Many know us for our coats in the fall, free summer lunches, Christmas gifts, and seven years of hosting a winter warming shelter. But we’re more than seasonal programs.

We are building a circle of care that addresses immediate needs and creates long-term solutions.

  • Housing Retention Program: Fond du Lac County’s first, launched in October 2023
  • Addiction Recovery Support: Connecting our community to treatment and renewal
  • Pathway of Hope: Guiding families toward stability and independence
  • Food Pantry & Thrift Store: Providing essentials with dignity
  • Seasonal Programs & Ministry: Serving body, mind, and spirit

Together, these services form the most comprehensive response to need in Fond du Lac County - helping to end homelessness, fuel recovery, and create lasting hope.

  • 2020-2021 Inductee, Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame

Since retirement, Cheryl has poured her energy into supporting The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac. Her Big Cup Golf Outing, founded in 2019, has raised more than $20,000 to fuel homelessness prevention, addiction recovery, and family support programs.

Cheryl’s belief: “It’s not just about what you do for a living. It’s about being a better human being and a contributing member of society. Find your passion, share it, and be part of something bigger than yourself.”
