The Hope Market name reflects the hope we inspire in those we serve through our market-style food pantries. We believe in dignity through nutritious, culturally and dietarily relevant food choices for everyone without discrimination.

• To pick up food on behalf of someone else, please fill out this proxy form and bring it with you to our location: WSDA Form 2345 (wa.gov).

This year, our food bank has distributed 25% more orders than last year. Like most food banks, we see more people seeking assistance in the second half of the month, when families need it most.

Please note that we are experiencing a high volume of guests accessing our food pantry services. Wait times may be longer than expected. We appreciate your patience during this time. Shoppers can visit the Puyallup Hope Market once per week.

The staff and volunteers at Puyallup Hope Market remain dedicated to providing food for those in need. As we look for other funding sources to meet the need, we invite you to make meaningful contributions of food or monetary donations to purchase food. To follow best food safety practices, please avoid donating perishable foods or items that have been opened. We will still accept nonperishable items up to 4 years past the expiration or sell-by dates. 

Suggested items for donations include:

• canned goods (soup, chili, tuna)
• peanut butter
• box meals (pasta, rice, macaroni and cheese, cereal)
• bar soap
• toilet paper
• toothbrushes/paste
• deodorant
• razors and shaving cream
• shampoo and conditioner
• laundry detergent

The Puyallup Hope Market provides food security through its partnerships with: Emergency Food Network, Food Lifeline, Grocery Outlet South Hill, Puyallup Food Bank, Safeway 136th/Meridian, Walmart 31^st, and Walmart Spanaway.

Because of food costs and reduced governmental funding, Puyallup Hope Market needs community support to ensure people in need still receive food. People struggling to make ends meet often have to choose between food and rent or food and life-sustaining medications.
