What We Do

The Salvation Army Veterans and Family Center is a transitional housing center that provides a therapeutic environment for 50 veterans and their families daily. Through intensive case management and collaboration with the Veterans Administration, clients are provided with the tools necessary to become self-sufficient

To give safety, security, help and hope by providing a place of transition that honors veterans and nurtures reconciliation.

Completed basic training and served on Active Duty.

Our Services

We serve veterans from all eras of military service.

We are a transitional housing center that provides a therapeutic environment for 75 vets and their families daily. We assist veterans and their dependents for up to nine months in reaching their potential.

  • Intensive case management
  • Development of a therapeutic relationship
  • Assessment of needs with comprehensive case plan
  • Advocacy
  • Benefit assistance
  • Skill-building
  • Resource referral
  • Coordination of medical, mental health, and addiction services as well as education services, housing placement and job training
  • Classes and groups including Rent Well, budgeting, nutrition workshops, etc.
  • Individual guidance and support in a caring, home-like atmosphere
  • 10 units of permanent alcohol and drug free housing for Veterans
  • Recreational activities including gardening, a fitness room, a game room and community outings
  • Worship Services
  • Bible studies

Through intensive case management and collaboration with the Veterans Administration, clients are provided with the tools necessary to become self-sufficient.
