Spiritual and Worship Services in Spokane

First Time With Us?

Welcome to the Spokane Salvation Army Citadel Corps in Spokane, WA, where we provide dynamic worship, prayer, and a practical message that connects with everyday life. We rely on the powerful presence of the Spirit of God to direct our time together so that as we corporately surrender to God's will, we are individually changed and renewed by His Spirit. Church ought to be fun and life-changing, and the wonderful thing about Jesus is that He never leaves us the same as we spend time in His presence.

We believe everyone has a place and a role in the Kingdom of God. There are many opportunities to worship, praise, and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a family. We are blessed with people of all ages and walks of life who add to our church family story and are living examples of God's love and our love for others.

We love our church family and sincerely hope that you will make this your church home too!

What We Believe

The Salvation Army's eleven Articles of Faith reflect our commitment to remain faithful to the teachings of Scripture and the historic Christian faith.

  1. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God and constitute the only Divine rule of Christian faith and practice.
  2. We believe there is only one God, infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver, and Governor of all things, and the only proper object of religious worship.
  3. We believe there are three persons in the Godhead—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.
  4. We believe that in Jesus Christ the divine and human natures are united, making Him truly God and truly man.
  5. We believe our first parents were created innocent, but through disobedience fell into sin, and all humanity has inherited a sinful nature.
  6. We believe Jesus Christ made atonement for the sins of the whole world so that all who believe may be saved.
  7. We believe repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are essential to salvation.
  8. We believe we are justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and believers have assurance of salvation.
  9. We believe continued salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.
  10. We believe it is the privilege of every believer to be wholly sanctified and preserved blameless until Christ's return.
  11. We believe in the immortality of the soul, the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
