Thanksgiving Meal Services

Each year, The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division unites communities across Hawai‘i and Guam to celebrate gratitude and fellowship. From festive meals to food deliveries, these Thanksgiving events reflect our mission to meet human needs without discrimination and share hope with those we serve. Thanksgiving Dinner

53rd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner in Honolulu

Each Thanksgiving Day, The Salvation Army partners with the City and County of Honolulu and our Love Beyond the Holidays sponsors to host the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center—one of Hawai‘i’s longest-running holiday traditions. Nearly 800 volunteers serve 2,000 guests a warm Thanksgiving meal filled with aloha, gratitude, and community spirit.

The event is open to the public. Doors open November 27, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Volunteer registration opens November 1, 2025, at 12 p.m.

Kauluwela Mission Corps – Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Blaisdell Center
  • Date & Time: Thursday, November 27, 2025, 11:00 a.m.
  • Location: Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena, Honolulu
  • Type: Prepared hot meals
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Serving meals, assisting with set-up and clean-up, welcoming and guiding guests (registration information above)
Kāneʻohe Corps – Thanksgiving Meal Distribution
  • Date & Time: Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 10:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (or until meals run out)
  • Location: Kahuku
  • Type: Prepared hot meals
  • Guests: First-come, first-served
  • Volunteer Opportunities: TBD
Kroc Center Hawai‘i – "1,000 Blessings" Thanksgiving Meal Distribution
  • Date & Time: Wednesday, November 26, 2025
  • Location: Kroc Center Ballrooms
  • Type: Sit-down hot meals and prepared meals for delivery
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Meal preparation, packing, and delivery support. Drivers must be comfortable operating large vehicles.

Kahului Corps – Thanksgiving Community Meal
  • Date & Time: Wednesday, November 26, 2025, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Location: University of Hawai‘i Maui College, Pa‘ina Building, 310 W. Ka‘ahumanu Ave., Kahului, HI 96732
  • Type: Prepared hot meal, sit-down event
  • Volunteer Opportunities: 15 volunteers plus university staff and students (10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)

Hilo Temple Corps – Community Thanksgiving Meal
  • Date & Time: Thursday, November 27, 2025, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: Aunty Sally's Luau Hale, 799 Piilani St, Hilo, HI 96720
  • Type: Prepared sit-down hot meal
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Serve meals, cut and serve pies, clean-up (10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
Honoka‘a Corps – Kupuna Meal Delivery
  • Date & Time: Thursday, November 27, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: Honoka‘a, Waimea, Waikoloa
  • Type: Prepared meals provided by local resorts, packaged and delivered by volunteers
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Packaging, delivery, and community outreach
Kona Corps – Grab-and-Go & Senior Meal Delivery

  • Location: Jackie Rey's Restaurant
  • Type: Grab-and-go hot meals and senior meal deliveries
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Meal delivery, service coordination

Hanapēpē Corps – Thanksgiving Luncheon

Līhu‘e Corps – Thanksgiving Meal Distribution

  • Location: War Memorial Convention Hall, 4191 Hardy St., Līhu‘e, HI 96766
  • Type: Prepared hot meal, drive-thru and walk-in distribution

Guam Corps – Thanksgiving Luncheon
  • Date & Time: Thursday, November 27, 2025, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Location: Chamorro Village, 96913 West Marine Drive, Hagatna, Guam
  • Type: Prepared hot meals, sit-in luncheon
