Dear Friends of The Salvation Army,

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for the thousands of people across Alaska who choose to support The Salvation Army. Your loyal support as one of our major donors has been an extraordinary blessing — especially through some very challenging seasons. Year after year, you give of yourselves to uplift the most vulnerable in our state, and in doing so, you help change lives. The impact of your generosity reaches far beyond the holidays, sustaining and strengthening our programs throughout the year, and for that I am exceedingly grateful.

Over the past year, we have served more than 62,000 individuals statewide. Some of the most significant needs met included food, shelter, rental and utility assistance, and — during this season of giving — gifts and toys for the hundreds of children who might otherwise go without Christmas. Your support is what makes this possible.
