Emergency Shelter & Soup Kitchen
The Men’s Hope Center
Location - 203 West 19th Street, Norfolk, VA
Our Emergency Shelter and Soup Kitchen provides food, shelter, resources, and prayer for hundreds of struggling men in the Hampton Roads area. The shelter is open 365 nights a year and offers 14 weekly soup kitchens. Shelter beds are available for men only; however, our Day Services Program is open to both men and women. Our Day Services program runs Monday-Friday (not including holidays) from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. During Day Services, clients have access to a range of supportive resources, including showers, laundry facilities, and case management services. Clients may also meet with on-site external service providers and receive referrals to additional community agencies for further assistance. We are proud to maintain collaborative partnerships with organizations such as the Community Service Board (csb), Legal Aid, the Urban Renewal Center, and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Clients are encouraged to inquire about accessing services from these partners during their participation in Day Services.
