Red Shield Youth Centers
The Salvation Army’s high-quality after-school programs, at our Red Shield Youth Centers, serve children and youth of all ages. Our staff and volunteers provide one-on-one assistance with homework and school assignments, as well as the teaching and advancement of literacy and study skills. Our no-fee or low-cost after-school programs offer children a chance to play sports, learn athletic skills, and cultivate healthy, safe relationships with friends through better social skills.
Join our Red Shield Youth Centers for an action-packed afterschool program, with STEAM activities, games, arts & crafts, outdoor play, engaging programs, and field trips. Daily snacks are provided.
Registration - $25 per week/child
A completed afterschool application is also required for enrollment (apply online below).
The Salvation Army School of Performing Arts
As part of the Carolinas Music & Arts Department, our School of Performing Arts (SPA) program enables children and youth to experience music and art education in a positive no-cost or low-cost environment. Our wide array of classes focuses on everything from choir, band, and dancing to drawing, writing, and acting, instilling an early love and appreciation of the fine arts.
