Volunteer Opportunities

Special Events & Projects
Work alongside our team on fundraising events, beautification projects, holiday decorating, and other special initiatives.
Adopt a Room
Help transform a shelter room into a warm, welcoming space through decorating, organizing, and refreshing furnishings.
Monthly Deep Clean
Support shelter guests by helping keep common areas clean, organized, and inviting.
Assemble Snack Bags
Create grab-and-go snack bags for shelter guests and children in our family shelter to take to school.
Assemble Toiletry Kits
Pack hygiene essentials such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other personal care items.
Family Stores
Help sort donations, organize merchandise, and support the stores that help fund our programs.
Distribution Center
Assist with processing donations, sorting inventory, and preparing items for distribution to our Family Stores.
Host a Wish List Drive
Collect high-need items such as cleaning supplies, snacks, paper products, and hygiene items to support shelter operations.
Host a Fundraiser
Organize an event, donation drive, or community initiative that raises awareness and supports local Salvation Army programs.

Volunteer behind the scenes by sorting gifts, organizing donations, and preparing for distribution day.

Collect new, unwrapped toys through your business, church, school, or organization to support Angel Tree families.
Bell Ringing
Individuals, Families & Groups Welcome
Volunteer at one of our iconic red kettles during the Christmas season. Funds raised stay local and support programs such as our homeless shelter, food assistance, and emergency services throughout the Augusta area.
Whether you volunteer once or adopt a kettle throughout the season, every shift helps make a difference.
Mandated Community Service
If you need to complete mandated community service requirements, please submit the form below. Our volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss available shifts and assignments.

- Availability is limited, spots are first-come, first-serve.
- Community Service Workers must be 18 or older.
