Join us and Bob Quick, our Red Kettle Breakfast Honoree, for our annual Red Kettle Kickoff, as we share more about the Central Kentucky programs we provide this holiday season and year-round.

Bob Quick has made a lasting impact on Lexington through his leadership, dedication, and commitment to our community. 

During his time at Commerce Lexington, he helped merge three organizations in 2004 and launched important initiatives such as the Regional Competitiveness Initiative, Commerce Lexington Foundation, Access Loan Program, and Washington D.C. Fly-In. 

Under his leadership, Commerce Lexington earned national recognition, including being named Chamber of the Year in 2016. 

Quick is recognized not only for what he accomplished, but for the kind of leader and person he is. Commerce Lexington Board Chair, Nick Nicholson, described him as “a man of high integrity” who knows how to “pull people together to find solutions,” showing that Quick’s leadership is built on cooperation and trust. Luther Deaton, a former Commerce Lexington board chair, said that Quick “cares so much about people and this place we call home,” highlighting his genuine dedication to both Lexington and the people around him. Nick Rowe, who was part of the committee that hired Quick, described him as having “a calming voice in the storm” and said that he led the Chamber “with grace and dignity.” These comments show that Quick is a thoughtful, inclusive, and dependable leader who listens to others and brings people together rather than seeking attention for himself. 

His ability to mentor others and build strong relationships has allowed his impact to extend beyond his own accomplishments, strengthening the community and the team around him.
