Greater Cleveland Area Services Holiday Services Information
Every year, parents must choose between giving their children gifts or paying bills. Individuals facing poverty often spend the holidays without the warmth of a shared meal or even a support system.
The holidays bring added financial and emotional stress to families and individuals living in poverty. From gifts for children in need to special meals for those who would otherwise go without fellowship on the holidays and meeting other basic needs - we aim to bring joy back into the season.
The Salvation Army helps make spirits brighter at Christmas through:
- Gift Assistance for Children
- Thanksgiving and Christmas hot meals or food baskets
- Holiday Parties
- Coats and Winter Gear for youth and adults

Registration for 2026 will begin in October.
- Families with children 12 years old and younger may apply to receive toys.
- You will need ALL of the following to register: government issued photo ID or driver’s license and a birth certificate or current medical benefit card with child’s birthdate for EACH child 12 years old or younger in your household.
- You can only register a child ONCE.
- You can only register at ONE of the five locations below.
