The Salvation Army's New Day to Stop Trafficking program is an integral part in the fight against human exploitation, using a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed approach that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of survivors. Through our network of dedicated staff and volunteers, we center the lived experience of survivors to prevent revictimization and provide safe housing, counseling, legal assistance, medical care, and job training.
In addition to providing immediate needs, New Day also works to educate the public on trafficking and advocate for social change. Here, we aim to prevent human trafficking and ensure that survivors receive the support they need to heal and thrive.

New Day Drop-In Center (NDDI) provides a consistent, safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment for women exploited by the commercial sex industry in the Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia. New Day believes that women are the experts of their story and aims to create a space where they can work towards reclaiming control over their lives.

We center the lived of experience of survivors in our work to end human trafficking.
We partner with survivors and activists to combat the injustices of trafficking.
The Salvation Army joins with survivor leaders, nonprofit organizations, service providers, and numerous other community partners to identify and holistically respond to survivors of forced labor and sexual exploitation. Our strategy to combat human trafficking helps both foreign and domestic human trafficking survivors through our nationwide case management network. Along with giving immediate refuge and relief to survivors, we take a holistic approach to healing, helping each person move from a state of exploitation to self-sufficiency.
