Support the 2026 Salvation Army 7 Can Help Kids Back to School Backpack Program
The annual Salvation Army 7 Can Help Kids Back to School Backpack Drive (or, simply, the backpack drive) is a metro-area-wide event that takes place in two phases: a collection phase in which we ask the community to donate school supplies, and a distribution phase in which we give away backpacks stuffed with school supplies to families in need.
The collection phase goes from July 1 through August 3. The distribution phase takes place on August 7 and 8.

PLEASE NOTE: If you’re not able to get out to buy school supplies in support of the drive, you can still participate! By clicking here, you can make an online donation that will go toward buying school supplies which we will then give away to families in need at the end of the drive in August.
