With Christmas season on the way, The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers

OMAHA, Neb.—The Omaha community has long been supportive in helping The Salvation Army serve those in need.

The community’s generosity of time and energy is the driving force behind what the nonprofit does, especially during the Christmas season.

That very special time of year is now right around the corner.  With demand for services running extremely high, The Army will likely need more volunteer support than ever this coming Christmas season.  

The Salvation Army would like Omaha-area residents to consider ringing the bells at a nearby Red Kettle sometime in November or December.  Efforts at the kettle raise funds that help the metro community both during the holidays and year-round. 

This year, there is a new system for signing up – both for kettle volunteering and other key seasonal volunteer opportunities.  It is called Golden.
