Annual Tastes & Treasures event to celebrate 15 years of service

OMAHA, Neb.—Fifteen years of raising money for youth, the elderly, America’s warriors, and the common good.

That is what The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is celebrating this year at its annual Tastes and Treasures event on Wednesday, Sept. 23. 

Since it began in 2012, the event has amassed more than $1.3 million for Salvation Army programs serving the Omaha community, including housing, food assistance, mental health services, senior programs, and veterans’ services.

Tastes and Treasures 2026 starts at 6 p.m. at the Scott Conference Center at 6450 Pine St.  It will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, and music from award-winning singer Camille Metoyer Moten.  KETV anchor Bill Schammert will emcee the program.

Even if you cannot make it to the event, you can participate in an online auction starting on Sept. 17.
