Hey Vikings fans! Are you going to the Minnesota Vikings’ home game vs. the Chicago Bears on Nov. 16? If so, stop by and say hello to The Salvation Army for awesome winter gear, free swag, and opportunities to support the community.

medalions-300x200.JPGOur volunteers will be outside of U.S. Bank Stadium giving away thousands of free medallions (pictured) from 9 a.m.–12 p.m., or until supplies run out. Grab one to show your support of Skol Nation and The Salvation Army.

Our volunteers will also be selling white winter hats (pictured below) adorned with Salvation Army and Minnesota Vikings logos. The hats will be available for $20 at The Salvation Army’s tent on the stadium plaza.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to donate. Red Kettles will be positioned outside the stadium, with many local firefighters ringing the bells.

“It’s unbelievable when The Salvation Army comes out to support us,” said local firefighter Dave Eisinger from the West Suburban Fire District. In years past, Dave has rung bells before Vikings games to give back for all the times The Salvation Army has served food to his crew while they’ve battled blazes.

“A hot dog and hot chocolate tastes pretty good when it’s freezing-cold outside,” Eisinger added. “One time, The Salvation Army even brought a warming tent.”

“We encourage everyone at the game to get involved with The Salvation Army this holiday season and throughout the coming year,” said Lt. Col. Randall Polsley, leader of The Salvation Army Northern Division.

"Skol Vikings!" Polsley added.

This Christmas season, support The Salvation Army by giving a donation or ringing bells at a Red Kettle. Your generosity will bring joy to local families in need.
