Donations matched now through New Year's Eve
This holiday season, thousands of families across the Twin Cities will fight to keep a roof overhead and food on the table.
You can help by giving to The Salvation Army during our Annual Christmas Match now through Dec. 31. Your donation will provide twice the amount of food, shelter and care for families in need, ensuring they have a joyful Christmas.
This giving opportunity is made possible by several donors who pooled $500,000 to encourage others to give this Christmas season. Will you match their generosity with a donation of your own?
Here are four easy ways to give:
- Donate online at SalvationArmyNorth.org/Match
- Donate at a Red Kettle anywhere in the Twin Cities
- Call our Development Team at 651-746-3491 during business hours
- Mail a check to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 131240, Roseville, MN 55113-0011. Write "Christmas Match" in the memo.
Your donation to The Salvation Army will give joy to people like...
Pedro
Pedro and his daughters became homeless after a series of tragic events altered their life. Pedro called The Salvation Army for help and received food, clothing, gas cards, and a temporary stay in a hotel room. He later enrolled in a Salvation Army mentoring program that helped him with budgeting, raising his credit score, spiritual guidance, and counseling. Today he works full-time and owns a house. “I’m grateful for all The Salvation Army did for me,” Pedro said, fighting back tears. “They helped me turn my life around.”
Natasha
After an ATV accident left Natasha paralyzed, she regained use of her arms through therapy and moved into an apartment – but it wasn’t wheelchair accessible, and her landlord did little to help. Desperate, she turned to The Salvation Army. Our caseworker found her an accessible home, helped pay move-in expenses, and arranged modifications to the home. Today, Natasha lives independently and is thriving. “Back when I could walk, I donated to Red Kettles – but I didn’t know how The Salvation Army helped,” she said. “Now I know. It is incredible.”
Casey
Casey lost everything when a fire destroyed his four-unit apartment complex in Minneapolis. Tragically, one of the tenants died, while Casey and the other two tenants were left homeless. The trio began staying together in a hotel room, with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The Salvation Army stepped in and provided food, clothing, financial assistance, and help finding a new place to live. “Once we get our lives back on track, we plan on giving back to The Salvation Army,” Casey said. “We want to help so that others can get help the way we did.”
This Christmas season, support The Salvation Army by giving a donation or ringing bells at a Red Kettle. Your generosity will bring joy to local families in need.
