fire-300x200.JPGThe Salvation Army Northern Division will celebrate National Donut Day on Friday, June 5 by distributing donuts to veterans and first responders—and you can help.

A donation of $15 will help provide a box donuts for veterans at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, along with firefighters, police officers, and other first responders in the Twin Cities area, greater Minnesota and North Dakota. Salvation Army staff and volunteers will distribute these donuts throughout the day on June 5. 

Every year, The Salvation Army celebrates National Donut Day on the first Friday of June to honor first responders and veterans for their service to our country and local communities (learn more). 

helping-soldier-copy-SMALL-copy.jpgThe Salvation Army first started National Donut Day in 1938 to commemorate the work of “Donut Lassies”—female Salvation Army volunteers who served American soldiers battling on the frontlines of war (learn more).
