Winnebago County, We Thank God for You

Because of you, this Christmas season was filled with hope, generosity, and joy.

Thank you for supporting our Give With Joy campaign. Through your donations, volunteer hours, and unwavering support, you helped make a meaningful difference for neighbors across our community when they needed it most.

We are grateful to share that our Red Kettle goal of $220,000 was not only met but surpassed, with a total of $221,066 raised. While these funds were generously given during the holiday season, their impact will be felt all year long. Every dollar will stay local, supporting vital programs and services that help individuals and families find stability, hope, and a path forward throughout the year.

Your kindness reminds us that when we give with joy, we change lives. Thank you for being part of this work and for helping us serve our community well beyond the holidays.

Because of your support, this year’s Angel Tree program reached thousands of children and families across Winnebago County. In total, 2,218 children received toys, and 900 families received Christmas meals, bringing relief and joy during the Christmas season. 

This impact would not have been possible without the extraordinary generosity of our volunteers and community partners. A total of 264 volunteers gave more than 1,700 hours of their time to help set up and distribute toys. We are especially grateful to the many local businesses and organizations that volunteered their time, including the Rockford Police and Fire Departments.

These numbers represent more than statistics; they reflect lives touched and a community united in compassion. Thank you for making this season of giving possible.
