Guests were treated to a moving performance by the Chicago Staff Band, one of The Salvation Army’s premier musical ensembles. With more than a century of musical excellence, the band delivered a program of sacred and inspirational music that filled the historic hall with both beauty and meaning.

Founded in 1907, the Chicago Staff Band has performed throughout the Midwest and across the world, sharing its message through music in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Their visit to Rockford brought that rich tradition to our community for a truly memorable evening.

The event was graciously hosted by Veterans Memorial Hall and Museum, whose partnership helped make the evening possible and provided a meaningful setting for the concert.

While the music inspired the audience, the purpose behind the evening made it even more meaningful. Attendees were invited to support The Salvation Army’s work providing rental and housing assistance for individuals and families in our community. Through generous donations and the support of those in attendance, the event will help provide stability and hope to neighbors facing housing challenges.
