For many of our neighbors, winter is a frightening time. As temperatures drop and freezing air sweeps in, it creates dangerous situations for the unhoused, food insecure, and seniors among others. In these times, warmth means more than comfort—it means survival.

The Salvation Army's Midland Division, serving Missouri and Southern Illinois, stands ready to serve, and our warming sites and shelters are critical to the community. They are where a mother can rest without fear, where a senior can escape dangerous exposure, and where someone who has fallen on hard times can feel safe, seen, and human again. A warm meal, a blanket, a place to sleep—these simple things can make a big impact.
