Empowering and caring for the next generation

Indiana Youth Services Information

The Salvation Army is committed to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our local youth programs offer a variety of activities and services designed to inspire, educate, and support young people.

Each of our locations across Indiana offers different programs to best serve the youth in their communities. Find your nearest Salvation Army to learn more about what they have to offer.

After-school programs and homework assistance

We offer after-school programs to continue to empower the next generation, help them with homework, and teach them about the love of God.

Sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities

Through a variety of no-fee and low cost after-school programs, we provide safe ways for kids to to make friends and participate in activities they couldn't otherwise afford.

Dance, art, and music programs

We work to provide music and arts programs that many schools can no longer afford. From choirs to instrument training, poetry to painting, drama to dance, after-school lessons and activities help introduce children to the beauties of the fine arts.

Parent Involvement Coaching

We work to develop relationships with parents in effort to encourage familial support in the education process. We also offer our Pathway of Hope programs that work with parents and families to break cycles of poverty and empower families.

First Generation Hope Scholars

The Salvation Army Indiana Division addresses unmet human needs every day. Our Pathway of Hope initiative helps highly motivated families set goals that can help them break the cycle of generational poverty. Often, these goals include educational objectives. We believe that in today's economy, a college education is essential to maximizing financial independence in families. This is why we created the Hope Scholars Program. Learn more about that here
