Doing the Most Good on Giving Tuesday with The Salvation Army
Giving Tuesday is almost here, and The Salvation Army Indiana Division is asking for support from communities across the state. This annual day of giving has a tremendous impact on The Salvation Army each year, raising funds that are used to provide year-round services and local programs for almost 800,000 Hoosiers. This year's goal is to raise $40,000 on Giving Tuesday to help keep these essential programs going in 2026.
The Salvation Army has set up a crowdfunding campaign for Giving Tuesday so supporters can track progress toward the 2025 goal. Donors can choose to give a one-time gift or sign up as a sustaining donor with gifts as little as $10 a month.

Every dollar given on Giving Tuesday will go back to each donor's community to support local services and ministries. From food pantries and youth camps to the innovative Pathway of Hope program, the impact can be seen year-round across Indiana. Last year, The Salvation Army provided almost 2.6 million meals across Indiana through food pantries and regular feeding programs. Over 252,000 toys and gifts were under Christmas trees last year thanks to Salvation Army programs like Angel Tree and Toy Shop.
"2025 has been a really challenging year for families across our state," said Major Marc Johnson, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Indiana Division. "We've seen a sharp increase in the need for utility assistance and food, and we are striving to meet this growing need. Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to raise the funds necessary to keep our pantries stocked and Hoosier families warm and safe this winter. Our gratitude goes out to every person who chooses to support The Salvation Army this Giving Tuesday. Thank you for doing the most good!"
