Buchertech Matching Donations to Salvation Army Red Kettle Up to $6,000
|
The Salvation Army of Porter County is getting ready for three busy days of fundraising that could make a big impact to their programs and services in 2026. On December 11, 12, & 13 all donations made to Red Kettles across Porter County will be doubled up to $6,000 thanks to a gift from local IT solutions business Buchertech.
Last year The Salvation Army of Porter County provided over 46,000 meals to those facing hunger in the county and ensured almost 4,000 nights of safe lodging to households that needed help keeping a roof over their heads. Over the 6-week Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army aims to raise the funds necessary to continue to provide impactful programs like these to local households. “Buchertech is enthusiastic about the work of The Salvation Army in Porter County, and we are pleased to join them in helping them our neighbors going through challenging times," shared Tim Bucher, President of Buchertech. "From providing essentials like food, clothing, utility assistance to youth archery, character building, and music lessons, we invite you to double the impact of your Red Kettle gifts during this Match.” Volunteer bell ringers are needed to sign up for 2-hour shifts to ensure that every Red Kettle can be out each day of the match. Individuals, groups, and families are encouraged to visit RegisterToRing.com to sign up for the date, time, and location of their choosing. Red Kettles will be placed at a number of locations this year, including Walmart, Strack and Van Til, Emagine Theatres, Bass Pro Shop, Hobby Lobby, Jewel, JCPenney, Walgreens, and Town and Country. "This incredible match means more food for hungry families through our Food Pantry, more gifts for children through Angel Tree, more utility and rent assistance to keep neighbors in their homes, and more opportunities for our kids through our Summer Day Camp program, as well as Archery and Piano Classes all year long," added Captain Prichard. "Because of Bucher Technologies, hope will literally ring twice as loud this Christmas!" All funds donated to The Salvation of Porter County will stay local to help out residents in need throughout 2025.
