Step-by-Step Tutorial for Salvation Army Volunteers

What is Safe From Harm?

It is a comprehensive safety and abuse prevention program to train Salvation Army officers, employees, and volunteers with best practices and procedures for working with vulnerable children and adults. The Salvation Army is responsible for all participants in our programs and keeping everyone safe is our priority.

The program is required of all Salvation Army employees and volunteers working with or in close proximity to children and vulnerable adults. We appreciate your support in completing this training as it protects all the individuals we serve, our employees, and our volunteers.

Safe From Harm training for volunteers can be completed online (instructions below) and typically takes 30-45 minutes to complete. Training can also be completed in-person at pre-scheduled training dates. To find out the next in-person training date or to ask questions about Safe From Harm, please contact: Derond Scott, Safe From Harm Coordinator at 317-567-5034
