The Salvation Army is committed to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our local youth programs offer a variety of activities and services designed to inspire, educate, and support young people.

Music, Visual, and Dramatic Arts Education

The Salvation Army is the largest music educator in the world, with offerings in brass, vocal, guitar, drums and more. It is important to provide additional creative outlets for youth and teens to share their experiences, hopes, dreams and fears. Piano classes are being held at The Salvation Army Porter County and Brass classes are being held at The Salvation Army East Chicago. Please contact the Corps Community Center nearest you for the most up-to date information.

Recreational, Sports, and Fitness Programs

Sports, recreation and fitness programs help kids learn the value of health, physical activity and teamwork. Workout classes at The Salvation Army East Chicago Corps Community Center get you up and moving to fun music. Join us Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 10 a.m

Hidden Falls Camp

Hidden Falls Camp

Hidden Falls Camp is a 700-acre camp near Bedford. It features nature trails, an indoor pool, fishing, a high ropes course, an archery range, and log cabins. Over 600 kids and senior adults from across Indiana participate every summer in various camps (STEAM, music, art, discipleship, age-specific camps), focusing on the body, mind, and spirit.
