Christmas Assistance Programs
Each of our locations across Indiana offers unique Christmas assistance programs to best meet the needs of its community. Contact your local Salvation Army to find out more about what assistance is offered in your area.
Throughout Indiana you will find some of the following programs:
The Angel Tree Program
The Angel Tree program provided gifts for more than one million children last Christmas. If you are at risk of not being able to provide presents for your children this holiday season, please reach out to your local Salvation Army. If you're interested in providing gifts for this program, please visit our Angel Tree registry page.
Coat Giveaways
To ensure that every child in our communities is safe and warm, many of our locations offer coat giveaways to families who cannot afford new coats for their growing children.
Holiday Meals
During the holidays, The Salvation Army aims to celebrate the birth of Christ by spreading His love and celebrating together over a meal. Many locations across Indiana provide a hot meal on Thanksgiving and Christmas to ensure that everyone has a place to go for the holidays
Holiday Food Baskets
In addition to gifts, many locations across Indiana offer food baskets. These are full of gift cards or ingredients to give individuals a holiday meal at home.

Show love all year long
While Christmas may be the season to shower those we love with gifts, it's also about giving to our neighbors in need. This holiday season, give a gift to help us continue providing vital services to those most in need.
