Frequently asked Questions about The Hope Brigade Challenge Match

What is the Hope Brigade Challenge Match?

The Hope Brigade Challenge was created to promote a dual impact. Legacy giving is an important part of providing hope and help for neighbors in need in Indiana. An anonymous donor has leveraged their gift to inspire legacy gift commitments. The Hope Brigade Challenge will move our mission forward today while securing future investments via legacy gifts to support a brighter tomorrow.

What is the Hope Brigade?

Your legacy gift qualifies you for membership in The Salvation Army Hope Brigade. You will join others whose faithful commitment supports the future of The Salvation Army.  Hope Brigade members receive an annual stewardship report and are invited to special events to learn more about the work of The Salvation Army!
Your name and gift remain private and confidential.

How do I document my future legacy gift for the Hope Brigade Challenge?

It’s simple! You can return the non-binding, one-page confirmation form with your best estimate of the value of the gift today.  Attaching documentation of your gift (copy or picture of the bequest wording) from your will, trust, or other legal document is most helpful to honor your desired gift intent for a location or a specific purpose.

How long does the Hope Brigade Challenge Match last?

The Hope Brigade Challenge will last through December 31, 2026 or until all challenge dollars of $125,000 are depleted.
