About the event

The 31st Annual Circle City Toy Run is riding to help children in The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. Nearly 200 motorcycles ride in the Circle City Toy Run and collect toys for the 5,000 children in the Angel Tree toy program. Riders will dress up in their Christmas outfits and decorate their motorcycles in holiday gear for the November 29th ride.

People can participate in the motorcycle ride by donating a toy or $10. All riders will gather at the Moose Lodge #17, 7055 E. 16th St. Indianapolis, IN 46219, for the ride. Doors open at 10 a.m. with kickstands up at 1 p.m.

The route is as follows:

  • Starts at Moose Lodge #17 - E. 16th Street
  • 16th St. --> 6th St.
  • 6th St. --> Allisonville Rd.
  • Allisonville Rd. --> 82nd St.
  • 82nd --> The Salvation Army Headquarters (6060 Castleway West Dr.)

Anyone is welcome to cheer on the motorcycles throughout their police-escorted ride through the city.

The Circle City Toy Run was founded by Ron "Bumper" Herron, whose mother was a long-time volunteer for The Salvation Army. It was at her request that he find a way to help, and the annual event continues to this day in her honor. The ride began with just a handful of friends and has grown to one of Indiana's most popular motorcycle events of the Christmas season.
