World’s Tallest Red Kettle Installation
About the event
One of Detroit's most beloved Christmas traditions is returning to downtown Detroit!
On Friday, Nov. 6, at 6 a.m., The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will install the World's Tallest Red Kettle in Cadillac Square.
Standing an impressive 56 feet tall and 24 feet wide, the larger-than-life red kettle features 26,000 LED lights and serves as a reminder of the generosity and compassion that makes Christmas special.
The installation marks an exciting milestone leading up to The Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Christmas Campaign, which raises critical funds to provide food, shelter, utility assistance and other essential services to individuals and families throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
