Still Time to Give: Donations to The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will be Matched Dollar-for-Dollar Through Dec. 31
The community can double its impact to support the nonprofit’s year-round critical social services and receive a tax deduction on their 2025 taxes.

There is still time for the community to make a meaningful difference before the year ends. Now through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, every online donation to The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000. Donations made by the deadline may also qualify for a tax deduction on donors’ 2025 taxes.

All matched gifts will support critical programs and services that extend far beyond the holiday season. Every dollar donated stays local — directly supporting metro Detroit families and individuals in the communities where the contributions are given.

The dollar-for-dollar match means every gift – no matter the size – goes twice as far during a time when demand for assistance remains high.

“This is an opportunity for our community to finish the year strong,” said Major Dawn Worthy, metro Detroit area commander for The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division. “The need hasn’t stopped – and neither has the opportunity to give hope to families, children, and seniors who rely on us throughout the year.”

Last year, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit served nearly 2.5 million meals, offered more than 402,000 nights of safe shelter, and delivered over 73,000 toys and gifts to children and shut-in seniors.

Donate today to have your donation doubled!
