The Salvation Army has been activated to support the City of Detroit's storm response efforts at the request of Detroit Emergency Management on behalf of Mayor Mary Sheffield.
Captain Shawn Sutter and the Downriver Corps will provide meals to residents at two senior high-rise facilities this evening and tomorrow. The Detroit Conner Creek Corps will also be open on Saturday, Sept. 5 as a cooling center and food distribution site for residents impacted by the storms.
