Built to Mobilize the Next Generation

Echelon seeks to mobilize the next generation for The Salvation Army by providing opportunities for young adults to engage with the organization through fellowship and networking, donations and fundraising, and service and volunteering.

Who We Are

The Salvation Army Echelon Detroit is a young professionals group serving Metro Detroit. Echelon connects adults ages 21–40 with opportunities to volunteer, network, fundraise and support local nonprofit programs through The Salvation Army that help children, families, seniors and individuals throughout Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

Whether you are looking for volunteer opportunities in Metro Detroit, ways to meet other young professionals, or a chance to give back to your community, Echelon offers meaningful ways to get involved.

What We Do

How Echelon Members Show Up

Echelon Detroit brings together young professionals who want to make a difference through volunteer service, fundraising and community engagement. We support Salvation Army programs that provide food assistance, emergency financial aid, youth programs, housing support and other services for neighbors in need across Metro Detroit.

Social & Networking

Echelon Detroit hosts events that connect young professionals with business leaders, nonprofit executives and community advocates. Members build meaningful relationships while learning how they can create lasting change in Metro Detroit.

Education & Volunteerism

Members serve meals through the Bed & Bread program, mentor children, ring bells during the Red Kettle Christmas Campaign, pack food boxes and support community and seasonal outreach events.

Fundraising

Echelon Detroit hosts fundraising events throughout the year. Proceeds support meals, shelter, youth programs, emergency financial assistance and other services that strengthen Metro Detroit communities.
