Consortium of Hope to Boost All Year-End Donations to The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit with Dollar-for-Dollar Match
Now through the end of the year, all donations will be matched thanks to a group of local community leaders and businesses
All donations made to The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit through the end of the year will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000. The Consortium of Hope – a group of community-minded leaders and businesses – joins together annually to help the nonprofit reach its Red Kettle Christmas Campaign fundraising goal.
This year, The Salvation Army is working urgently to raise $7.1 million to support critical programs and services for individuals in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
As the year draws to an end, The Salvation Army is inviting the community to come together so thousands of neighbors can continue receiving the nourishment, shelter, warmth, and hope that strengthen them all year long.
“Every day, we meet parents doing their best to provide, seniors looking for warmth and connection, and children who deserve every opportunity to thrive,” said Major Dawn Worthy, metro Detroit area commander for The Salvation Army. “This campaign allows us to walk alongside our neighbors with care and dignity. In these final days of the year, your generosity — doubled through this match — helps ensure we can continue offering hope and support to those who depend on us.”
There are still many ways to support The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s 2025 Red Kettle Christmas Campaign. The iconic red kettles will remain at storefronts across the region until Christmas Eve, excluding Sundays. Additional ways to contribute include:
All donations made during the 2025 Red Kettle Christmas Campaign are tax-deductible, and every dollar stays local — directly supporting metro Detroit families and individuals in the communities where the contributions are given.
