Officer Jae was born and raised in South Korea. After graduating from Korean Baptist University, he served in two churches before moving to the United States in February 2007 to pursue further studies and gain broader ministry experience. While volunteering in various ministries at The Salvation Army Landmark Corps in the Potomac Division, God opened the door for him to serve in a BFI (Blood and Fire Initiative) position — a Salvation Army ministry initiative focused on corps growth, spiritual renewal, leadership development, and community outreach. Through this opportunity, he became deeply involved in Salvation Army ministry and leadership.

Officer Hye was born in Seoul and raised in Daejeon, South Korea. She also graduated from Korean Baptist University and faithfully served as an associate minister before marrying Officer Jae in 2004. Known for her compassionate heart and servant leadership, she has consistently dedicated herself to strengthening both the church and the community.

The Parks were married on October 9, 2004, and have been blessed with two wonderful children: Yena and Joshua. Yena is currently entering her junior year at North Carolina State University, and Joshua is beginning his freshman year at the University of South Carolina this fall.

In 2017, Officers Jae and Hye entered The Salvation Army College for Officer Training as members of the “Messengers of Compassion” session. Upon their commissioning in June 2019, they were appointed as Assistant Corps Officers at The Salvation Army Raleigh International Corps. The following year, they were appointed as Assistant Area Commanders for the Raleigh Area, where they faithfully served for four years through pastoral care, outreach ministries, and community engagement.

In June 2024, they received a new appointment to the Greenville Kroc Center, serving as Officers for Congregational Life at the Greenville Kroc Corps and Community Center, where they continued their passion for building vibrant worship communities, developing spiritual life ministries, and fostering meaningful relationships across diverse cultures and generations.

Now, in June 2026, as God opens a new chapter in their ministry journey, Officers Jae and Hye Park have been appointed to serve as Corps Officers at The Salvation Army Kernersville Corps. With grateful hearts and steadfast faith, they look forward to partnering with the congregation and community to share the hope of Jesus Christ through worship, service, and compassionate ministry.
