Walmart and The Salvation Army Launch “Christmas in July” Red Kettle Campaign in Elkhart
This July, The Salvation Army in Elkhart is working alongside Walmart to bring a special “Christmas in July” Red Kettle campaign to the County Road 6 Walmart location, offering shoppers an opportunity to give back during a meaningful summer activation.
On July 16-18 and 23-25, shoppers visiting the CR 6 Walmart location will see The Salvation
Army’s red kettles stationed outside the store, where donations will support individuals and
families in need across the greater Elkhart area, including the northern half of Elkhart
County. Funds raised will help provide meals, shelter, utility assistance, and other critical
services throughout the year. This initiative reflects the ongoing relationship between
Walmart and The Salvation Army, focused on meeting local needs and strengthening
communities nationwide.
“Christmas in July is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and
support local families facing hardship,” said Tim Nauta, Major of Elkhart Salvation Army
Corps. “Every donation made at the red kettle helps ensure that individuals and families in
our community can access essential resources and compassionate care when they need it
most.”
Community members are encouraged to stop by the red kettles at the CR 6 Walmart July 16-
18 and 23-15 to give with joy and support local families.
