Tickets Now on Sale for The Salvation Army's Unmasking the Singer Fundraiser
Get ready for a night of music, mystery, and meaningful impact as The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command presents its highly anticipated annual fundraiser, Unmasking the Singer!
This head-to-head singing competition will take place on Friday, April 24, at Town & Country Inn & Suites, featuring local celebrities and community members from the Quincy and Hannibal areas. Contestants will take the stage in full mascot costumes, performing in disguise as they compete for votes and the title of Unmasking the Singer Champion, all while raising essential funds to support The Salvation Army’s homelessness prevention and shelter services in Quincy and Hannibal.
"This event brings together fun, entertainment, and a mission that matters,” said The Salvation Army Development Director, Matt Schmidt. “If we can create a night full of joy while also helping keep our neighbors off the streets, that’s something truly meaningful. You may not see the faces of those you’re supporting, but your involvement makes a real impact. By keeping our performers’ identities hidden, we highlight the importance of unmasking the reality of homelessness in Quincy and Hannibal."
Doors will open at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM. A cash bar will be available. The competition begins at 7:00 PM, hosted by Chad Douglas and Matt Schmidt, who will guide the audience through an exciting night of performances and on stage reveals. Before each act, the audience will receive clues about the performer’s identity. Audience members then vote with donations ($1 = 1 vote), with the top fundraisers advancing to the final round. The contestant with the most votes in the final round will be crowned the 2026 Unmasking the Singer Winner.
