The Salvation Army Red Kettles Return to Central Indiana to Help Neighbors in Need
The familiar sound of ringing bells is back as The Salvation Army of Central Indiana kicks off its annual Red Kettle Campaign across the area. Shoppers will once again spot the iconic Red Kettles at local Kroger, Walmart, Sam's Club, Needler’s, Hobby Lobby, and other participating locations.
All donations placed in a Red Kettle stay right here in Central Indiana, helping to provide food, shelter, clothing, and vital support services to local families throughout the year. Beyond meeting physical needs, The Salvation Army’s programs also help to restore confidence, stability, and faith for those working to rebuild their lives.
For shoppers who don’t carry cash, giving has never been easier. Donors can simply scan the QR code on any kettle sign or tap their credit card on the “Tap to Give” device to make a secure, cashless donation on the spot.
For those who prefer to give from the comfort of home, The Salvation Army of Central Indiana’s Virtual Red Kettle offers a convenient and secure way to make an impact. With this, you can give online with just a few clicks. Visit https://donate.salvationarmyindiana.org/CentralIndianaVRK2025 to make your online donation and help keep the spirit of giving alive.
“We want everyone to know that every dollar dropped or tapped into a kettle truly makes a difference right here at home,” said Major Malinda O’Neil, Area Commander of The Salvation Army. “When you give, you’re helping feed a family, provide a warm bed, and offer hope when it’s needed most.”
Mark your calendars for December 5! On this special $50,000 Match Day every dollar donated to The Salvation Army of Central Indiana will be doubled thanks to generous community partners. That means your $5 gift becomes $10. The donations made on December 5 will help twice as many Central Indiana families.
The Salvation Army of Central Indiana is also seeking volunteer bell ringers to help make this year’s campaign a success. Individuals, families, and groups can sign up for a two-hour shift at RegisterToRing.com. Just one two-hour shift can help feed a family of four for an entire week!
The Red Kettle Campaign runs throughout the holiday season, fueling year-round programs that lift families out of crisis and into stability. Kettles will be out through Christmas Eve, but the Virtual Red Kettle will remain active online through December 31.
